Message from instructor
Hello, my name is Tama, I'm from England and I am pleased to meet you. I love teaching because I am always learning from my students...every day I learn more and more about Japan! My other passion is travel, I love to explore new places, see new things, meet new people and try new food. I haven't made it to Japan yet, but I hope to soon. :-) As well as English I also speak Spanish and Haitian Creole fluently, and I have been teaching language skills to all levels of students since 2006. I can't wait to meet you!
Hobbies / favorite countries / countries visited
I love to travel, to meet new people, learn about new cultures, try new foods. I spend my time between the Dominican Republic - I love the warmth of sun, and the beautiful beaches, and England - I love the beautiful green countryside and the history you can find in nearly every town and city.
Approach to corrections
Clear communication is the reason we learn other languages. So I aim to give you clear easy to understand reasons for my corrections. I will help you to express your ideas in the clearest and most natural way. Your writing expresses your own personal style, so I'll try to correct your text to suit your writing style. I look forward to working with you.

Thank you so much for the corrections you made on my essay. I accidentally found the expression " drive off diseases" in a dictionary. I have to say "thank you" to the book. Also, I feel uncomfortable about the last phrase in the last sentence, "which Ainu people traditionally believe that it can drive off diseases." You erase "that it", I'm happy to read the sentence now. Yoko

Dear Tama, This was a heavy topic but at the same time, we can't dismiss the necessity of discussing it. Yes, there's also a movie that based off the book. But I didn't like the movie much... It didn't really resonate with me. Have a beautiful day, Midori
