Message from instructor
As a Canadian, I am actually very familiar with both American English and British English. Canadian English is a mix of American and British English. My students from Japan and other countries tell me that I am great at explaining English grammar and vocabulary with patience and kindness.
Hobbies / favorite countries / countries visited
I love reading, and I lived and taught English in Japan for thirteen years (until the spring of 2022). I loved Japan's friendly people, the food, the culture and history, and also the literature. Oh yes and I loved the izakaya life!

Thank you for your kind corrections and comments. I surprised about your trip to Kurobe dam. I’m happy to hear that Canadian also love dams. Your dam tourism information in Canada are making me move to go Canada. I will visit there!

Dear TeacherShawn, I’d like to express my appreciation for your work, which was incredibly helpful. The idea of adjusting writing style based on the topic hadn’t occurred to me before, but it makes perfect sense. Additionally, the em-dash is a new punctuation mark for me, and I’ll definitely incorporate it when appropriate. Thank you once again for the fantastic tips!
